# Bachata Studio Booking Software: Courses and Socials

A dancer books a level course, buys a ticket for Friday's social and pays towards a congress trip. Staff need to find each purchase without assuming the same pass covers all three.

Separate the offers first. That makes eligibility, payment and attendance clearer for both dancers and the team.

## What a bachata studio sells

- **Levelled courses.** Eight weeks of Level 1, Level 2, Sensual, Dominican. Sold as a block, sometimes as drop-ins. Students move up when the teacher says so.
- **Class packages.** Ten classes, valid three months, use them across levels you allow.
- **Socials.** Friday night, door price and presale, members free or discounted, guests welcome.
- **Private lessons.** Sold singly or as a five-pack, often with an instructor commission.
- **Workshops.** A visiting teacher for a weekend, its own ticket.
- **Trips.** The congress in Punta Cana, deposit now, balance in three months, rooming to sort.

## Where it goes wrong

Courses on one tool, socials on a ticketing site, packs on paper cards behind the desk, trip deposits on a payments app, the community on WhatsApp. Staff need to reconcile remaining class credit with any separate trip payments.

## Configure classes separately from socials

In Gomry, a scheduled class can use an Experience with a capacity per slot. A prepaid package uses a [Bundle](https://business.gomry.com/bundles.html) across selected Experiences. Bundles can have an expiry, but they do not apply to one-off Events.

Create the social as an Event with the ticket classes you need. If a course includes social admission, demonstrate how that benefit will be supplied and checked; do not assume a class bundle automatically grants entry.

For private lessons, test the instructor's availability across the timetable. For a trip, keep the deposit, agreed balance and participant information explicit. The [retreat guide](/blog/yoga-retreat-management-software/) covers the records to reconcile before arrival.

Keep community conversation in WhatsApp if it works for the studio. Use the [customer-record checklist](/blog/event-crm-software/) to decide which booking and attendance information staff need alongside it.

Tap to Pay is in private beta. Confirm beta access before including phone-based card payments in the door plan.

## Questions bachata studios ask

**Should course and social tickets be linked?**
If social admission is included, demonstrate how it is issued and checked. A class bundle does not automatically grant entry to an Event.

**Can Gomry run the trip?**
Demonstrate the agreed total, deposit, balance and participant records. Separate payments do not establish automatic instalments or room allocation.

**What about leader and follower balance?**
Add a role question on the ticket form. Let the dancer choose; do not pre-assign by name.

Configure one course and its associated social. Ask the door team to identify the admission included in each purchase before offering a combined package.
