# Best Event Ticketing Software: Sales, Seating and Check-In

Event ticketing software should get the buyer from choosing admission to entering the event with clear terms and a usable ticket. Gomry is especially relevant when the organizer also sells ongoing activities or prepaid visits: event purchases and later participation can remain connected through customer history.

For event-first operations, Ticket Tailor, Humanitix and Eventbrite deserve direct comparison. Seated venues should include TicketSource and TicketLeap. Attractions with on-site sales need a different evaluation from music venues considering DICE, AXS or Ticketmaster. A checkout page alone does not explain distribution, box-office requirements or entrance operations.

## Compare the options

| Software | Main reason to consider it | Important distinction |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Gomry | Tickets alongside recurring activities and visit packs | Class credit applies to Experiences, not Event tickets. |
| [Ticket Tailor](/blog/ticket-tailor-alternative/) | Event admission, recurring occurrences and integrations | Organizer ticket credits differ from customer visit packs. |
| [Humanitix](/blog/humanitix-alternative/) | Ticketing with a charitable-profit model | Commercial terms still depend on country and payment setup. |
| [Eventbrite](/blog/eventbrite-alternative-recurring-events/) | Ticketing, promotion and marketplace discovery | Discovery value should be measured separately from direct sales. |
| [TicketSource](/blog/ticketsource-alternative/) | Reserved seating and box-office roles | Use a real seating layout and staff permissions in the demonstration. |
| [TicketLeap](/blog/ticketleap-alternative/) | Seating, recurring events and door sales | The online purchase and on-site ticket record must agree. |
| [SimpleTix](/blog/simpletix-alternative/) | Online tickets and on-site sales connections | Confirm the exact POS and scanning setup. |
| [TicketSpice](/blog/ticketspice-alternative/) | Configurable checkout, waivers and timed entry | Admission rules must match the information collected. |
| [Universe](/blog/universe-alternative/) | Timed-entry events and date-based admission | Timed-entry settings differ by event type and plan. |
| [Fienta](/blog/fienta-alternative/) | Event sales and connected operational systems | A webhook notification is different from a purchasing operation. |
| [Weezevent](/blog/weezevent-alternative/) | Ticketing, access, cashless and staff operations | Card payment at checkout does not replace a cashless event system. |
| [DICE](/blog/dice-alternative/) | Music-event discovery and fan ticketing | Waiting-list and transfer conditions depend on the event and market. |
| [AXS](/blog/axs-alternative/) | Fan ticket management and venue operations | A venue-platform contract has broader scope than self-service ticketing. |
| [Ticketmaster](/blog/ticketmaster-alternative/) | Event creation, box office and entrance operations | A full venue setup needs a full operational comparison. |
| [Luma](/blog/luma-alternative-paid-events/) | Community calendars and paid gatherings | Calendar membership differs from admission to each event. |
| [Partiful](/blog/partiful-alternative/) | Social invitations, RSVPs and paid tickets | Paid tickets are available; invitation-led use is the distinguishing context. |

## Compare the ticket the attendee receives

Begin with one real event. For general admission, show ticket types, purchase confirmation and scanning. For reserved seating, use the actual layout and demonstrate two customers selecting adjacent places. For timed entry, show the selected date and time on the ticket and at the entrance.

A refund, transfer or cancellation should leave a clear record of whether the original ticket still admits someone. Do not assume every provider applies the same rule. The purchaser, attendee and person using the ticket can also be different people; that distinction matters for communications and entrance checks.

### Separate sales from discovery

Eventbrite and music-oriented platforms may contribute an audience as well as a purchase flow. A system installed on the organizer’s own channels serves customers already reached there. Compare conversion and attributed sales using the organizer’s own data; the existence of a marketplace is not a promised attendance result.

Similarly, access to an API or AI assistant does not automatically distribute an event to a new audience. Integrations should be evaluated for specific operations: finding events, obtaining a checkout link, reading attendee data or running an authorized account task.

## Gomry for an event-and-activity business

Gomry [Ticketing](/ticketing) supports Event purchases, with ticket classes, seating maps and [scanning](/scanning) for admission. The same business can sell scheduled [Experiences](/experiences) and a prepaid [Bundle](/bundles) across selected eligible activities. Event tickets remain separate from those credits.

A venue can therefore sell a public performance and a pack for regular workshops, while [Contacts](/contacts) keeps purchase, attendance and message history around the customer. The point is the continuing program: a one-time ticket buyer and a returning participant can be understood through their actual records.

Gomry MCP supports permitted organizer account operations. The documented consumer-commerce interface addresses public Event discovery and ticket-purchase flows, including checkout links. These are different interfaces with different permissions. They should not be described as unrestricted autonomous purchases or a guarantee that an assistant will recommend the event.

## Shortlists by event operation

**Independent general-admission events:** compare Gomry, Ticket Tailor and Humanitix against ticketing and payment terms. Include Eventbrite if marketplace discovery is a material requirement.

**Seated venues:** include TicketSource and TicketLeap, and demonstrate the venue’s actual seating and box-office process. A screenshot of a seating feature is not the same as a tested configuration for the venue.

**Timed-entry attractions:** compare SimpleTix, TicketSpice and Universe. The entrance team needs to validate the right time slot, including how late arrivals or changed bookings are handled.

**Music venues and broader venue contracts:** include DICE, AXS and Ticketmaster. Ticket transfer, fan access, distribution and on-site infrastructure can make this a different buying process from choosing a self-service ticket page.

**Festivals with cashless spending or staff accreditation:** include Weezevent. Keep ticket sales, entry permissions and spending systems distinct when defining the replacement scope.

## Understand the full ticketing cost

Compare the same paid ticket volume, face values and payment methods. Separate platform fees from payment processing, taxes where applicable, payout arrangements and optional on-site services. State which charges the organizer absorbs and which the buyer sees. A free event may have different economics from a paid one.

For a contracted venue platform, include installation, hardware and required support in the proposal. For a recurring workshop program, include the booking or pack product rather than assuming it is part of event issuance. The [Gomry pricing page](/pricing) provides its published terms; negotiated competitor fees should remain quote-specific.

## Ticketing questions

### Do all these products have the same integration capabilities?

No. An API, webhook and MCP interface can support different actions. Compare the documented operation and permissions instead of treating a logo as a feature-equivalence claim.

### Is Partiful only for free events?

No. Partiful supports paid tickets as well as invitations and RSVPs. Its place in the comparison is the social invitation and guest experience.

### Should an organizer change systems before an event already on sale?

Only with a clear plan for issued tickets, refunds, attendee communications and entrance validation. Existing admission obligations do not disappear when the public purchase link changes.

## What each alternative provides

### Ticket Tailor

Ticket Tailor supports recurring occurrences, seating, bundles and memberships, and publishes organizer MCP tools. Its ticketing features make it relevant to both individual events and a recurring program.

### Humanitix

Humanitix combines ticketing with reserved seating, waiting lists, checkout questions and scanning. It directs profits to charity.

### Eventbrite

Eventbrite combines event ticket sales with public discovery, promotion and organizer check-in tools. It also supports recurring event schedules. A move therefore has two parts: retaining the event’s purchase and admission workflow, and deciding how attendees will find it.

### TicketSource

TicketSource documents a branded ticket shop, a drag-and-drop seating-plan tool and permissions for team members.

### TicketLeap

TicketLeap documents timed entry, recurring schedules, seating plans and a cart that can include tickets from several events by the same organizer. Checkout questions and waivers collect information before purchase; its apps support scanning and door sales.

### SimpleTix

SimpleTix documents online ticketing, mobile ticket validation including offline scanning, and in-person sales with Square or Stripe. It also lists other payment-provider integrations.

### TicketSpice

TicketSpice documents customizable ticket pages, seating layouts, timed-entry sales, conditional questions and digital waivers. It is relevant when the purchase needs to collect different information or offer different options depending on the ticket. For an attraction, selecting a time is only part of the workflow; the resulting ticket, participant details and entrance validation must agree about what was purchased.

### Universe

Universe distinguishes regular events from timed-entry events. Its timed-entry product manages dates and multiple entry times within one listing, for uses such as exhibits, classes and tours. The help center also documents changes to capacity and ticket settings by timeslot.

### Fienta

Fienta documents event ticketing, a website event schedule and integrations, including a REST API with organizer keys and webhooks for orders, registrations and ticket validation. These interfaces matter when event data needs to reach another system. Distinguish an incoming notification about a completed order from an external application being able to perform a purchase or change a booking: those are separate integration capabilities.

### Weezevent

Weezevent offers ticketing, access control, cashless payment and staff-related event solutions. Its access product is integrated with the ticketing and cashless products.

### DICE

DICE’s UK and Ireland organizer terms describe ticket sales and an event-dependent waiting-list service.

### AXS

AXS describes consumer ticket management, data and analytics, marketing services, venue operations and partnerships with ticket marketplaces. Its offer therefore extends across the fan journey and the organizer’s operation.

### Ticketmaster

Ticketmaster’s Event Day offering includes mobile ticketing, entrance monitoring and box-office tools. Its wider business offering covers event creation and management, including large tours and high-demand sales.

### Luma

Luma combines events with a calendar that people can follow. Its calendar membership documentation describes free, one-time and recurring arrangements, while its pricing differentiates free and Plus plans and makes API access a Plus feature. A calendar subscription, a paid community membership and credit for future class attendance are different entitlements.

### Partiful

Partiful supports invitations, RSVPs and paid tickets.

## Choosing your shortlist

For events that lead into regular paid activities, Gomry’s ticket-and-booking combination is the relevant advantage. For an admission-only operation, compare the ticketing specialists; for venue infrastructure or cashless spending, widen the scope before comparing cost. The attendee should experience one clear purchase and a ticket the entrance team can validate.
