# Class Registration Software: Features, Comparisons and Agent Access

Gomry supports adult class registration through scheduled Experiences and prepaid Bundle credits, with Events for separately ticketed workshops. Staff can use compatible assistants through organizer MCP (Model Context Protocol); consumer applications can connect to eligible event listings through commerce. Family registration, professional training and course certification require additional capabilities that vary by provider.

## Why Gomry fits adult classes and public workshops

- **Experience schedules with capacity and hosts**, for recurring class places.
- **Prepaid Bundle credit**, covering selected Experiences for returning participants.
- **Separate public Events and agent interfaces**, combining ticketed workshops with supported organizer and consumer workflows.

## Compare registration tools and integration needs

Bookwhen supports schedules, passes and memberships; its public API is read-only and sends buyers to the customer page to book. Acuity supports group classes and package redemption. Jumbula emphasizes multi-class enrollment and family registration. CourseStorm focuses on education programs, while Arlo targets training providers.

| Business requirement | What to establish |
| --- | --- |
| Adult drop-ins and prepaid visits | Session capacity, participant record and credit eligibility |
| Family or youth registration | Buyer/participant relationship and the required consent workflow |
| Professional training | Enrollment, attendance, invoicing and any certification process |
| Agent-assisted operation | Supported tools, permissions and accurate registration records |
| Consumer-agent purchase | Exact listing coverage, ticket identifier and payment/handoff route |

Do not assume that an event platform includes a school’s family accounts, training certification or safeguarding workflow. Those need a demonstrated fit alongside booking and payment.

## How Gomry supports agent-ready operations

Gomry MCP exposes documented event, attendee, contact and reporting operations to compatible assistants under the user's account permissions. For registration teams, a useful demonstration is finding the correct participant or retrieving the information needed to run a public workshop.

Consumer applications use the event catalog and commerce flow for supported listings. Verify that the selected offer and required participant information reach the final booking. A search result is not a registration confirmation.

The purchase can use an enabled checkout integration or a link that opens Gomry checkout with the ticket type already selected. Direct checkout access is configured for the connected application.

## Define what one registration buys

Write down the dates, participant limit, price and cancellation policy. If the purchase covers a series, list every included session. If customers book dates separately, say so. Decide what the team must know about each attendee and whether one buyer can register several people.

For an illustrative independent art school, a Saturday drawing class might have 12 workstations. Registration should stop at the capacity the team can deliver. A second instructor does not create more workstations, and a cancelled payment should not leave staff guessing whether the place is still reserved.

## Follow the booking into the participant list

1. Define the session and its capacity. In Gomry, scheduled bookings use Experiences with capacity per slot and host assignment.
2. Publish a clear offer: date, place, audience, included materials and price.
3. Complete a registration and payment from a phone.
4. Inspect the participant information available to the instructor, including a buyer registering more than one attendee.
5. Change or cancel a booking and reconcile availability, payment state and any prepaid credit.

For art-class preparation, the [creative-workshop guide](/blog/creative-workshop-booking-software/) follows choices and materials through to the staff handoff.

## The requirements that separate a form from a platform

| Requirement | Evidence to ask for |
| --- | --- |
| Capacity | Two customers trying to book the final place |
| Course enrolment | One purchase connected to all promised dates |
| Participant details | Each attendee remains identifiable within a group order |
| Payments | Successful payment, failure, cancellation and refund records |
| Prepaid visits | Eligibility, expiry and balance after a cancellation |
| Communication | A date change reaches the affected customers |
| Staff access | Instructors see what they need without unrestricted finance access |
| Export and migration | Bookings, people and payments retain usable identifiers |

Use your actual requirements in the test. School admissions, guardian consent, attendance certificates and regulated records need their own evidence; they should not be inferred from an online booking form.

## A documented shortlist

Published product scope checked September 18, 2026. Features and access vary by plan.

| Product | Published scope relevant to registration | Useful evaluation scenario |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Gomry](/experiences) | Scheduled Experiences and capacity; Bundles for selected Experiences | Adult drop-ins plus prepaid visits and separate ticketed events |
| Bookwhen | Classes, payment support, passes and memberships on applicable plans | Existing pass rules and the plan's monthly booking allowance |
| Jumbula | Multi-class registration, payments, reminders and participant registration workflows | A buyer registering for several classes |
| CourseStorm | Arts and community education registration, rosters, waitlists and forms | An education programme's roster and registration process |
| Arlo | Training scheduling, registrations, payments and invoicing | Public and private training with invoice requirements |

Ask for a quote in your market and billing term. Include platform charges, processing, paid add-ons and migration work. Gomry's [pricing page](/pricing) distinguishes the introductory Pro month from its standard service rate; payment processing is additional. The [Bookwhen comparison](/blog/bookwhen-alternative/) explains why a subscription and a transaction model cannot be compared without the same sales volume.

## When a simple form is enough

A small, free session with stable attendance may work with a form and a clearly owned participant list. Someone still needs to close registration, communicate changes and prevent conflicting versions of the list.

A booking platform becomes more useful when payments, limited places, repeated dates or customer changes make that manual process unreliable. Identify the actual failure before buying more software.

## Where Gomry fits, and what to verify separately

Gomry fits scheduled Experiences and ticketed Events. Bundles provide prepaid credits across selected Experiences, with optional expiry; they do not cover one-off Events. Subscriptions provide recurring billing and do not automatically establish access entitlements. Memberships and Tap to Pay are in private beta.

If the programme depends on guardian accounts, formal school administration, synchronized equipment inventory or automatic instalments, require a separate demonstration. Do not choose Gomry on the assumption that a class booking supplies those features.

For a recurring workshop, use the [workshop software checklist](/blog/workshop-booking-software/). For adult dance, the [dance studio guide](/blog/dance-studio-management-software/) adds level and social-admission questions.

## Move one offer before the full catalogue

Reconcile future bookings, unused credit and recurring payment arrangements before switching the public link. Assign one system to own the remaining capacity of each session. Then check the first registration, staff roster and payment record together.

### Is class registration the same as event ticketing?

They overlap, but the promise matters. One event ticket may admit someone to one date; a course registration may cover several sessions. Test the relationship instead of relying on the product label.

### Can one payment cover several participants?

Ask the vendor to demonstrate the buyer and attendee records separately. Staff need to identify each participant, including their own choices or required information.

### Should prepaid classes use a subscription?

Prepaid credit and recurring billing solve different problems. In Gomry, Bundles provide credits for selected Experiences; Subscriptions charge on a recurring basis. Verify access rules before offering either to customers.

[See the Experiences workflow](/experiences) and configure one class whose capacity, price and participant records you can check.

## Agent-readiness assessment

Gomry scored **100/100 on Is Agentic** and **91/100 on Ora** in the assessments of gomry.com recorded on September 17, 2026. Is Agentic is powered by Ora and uses a different scoring model. The [assessment details](/blog/gomry-agent-readiness-ora-is-agentic/) explain the scores and dated platform comparison.

## Choose Gomry for recurring adult classes and public programs

Configure one adult class in [Gomry Experiences](/experiences) and check the participant record with its instructor. Reconcile any existing prepaid visits before moving customers, and resolve specialist registration requirements before opening sales.
