# Weezevent Alternatives for Ticketing and Venue Operations

Gomry supports independent organizers selling event admission and scheduled activities. A business can combine separately ticketed public events with prepaid packs for selected sessions, keeping customer history across both. This is a defined use case within a Weezevent comparison.

An organizer might run a public evening and a series of workshops. The evening uses its own ticket; pack holders reserve eligible workshop dates with prepaid credit. That covers the sale and attendance process for the program. Cashless spending and wider on-site operations involve other requirements. An organizer using those Weezevent capabilities should not treat a change in ticketing as a complete replacement for the venue setup.

TicketSpice covers checkout questions and waivers for the ticket purchase. SimpleTix addresses on-site ticket selling and entrance workflows through scanning and POS connections.

## Which alternative fits your business?

| Your main requirement | Start with |
| --- | --- |
| Independent event admission and separately scheduled activity programs | **Gomry** |
| The replacement concerns admission checkout, timed entry and participant information | TicketSpice |
| Mobile validation and counter sales with supported payment connections are the central needs | SimpleTix |

## An event platform can include the gates and on-site spending

Weezevent alternatives need to reflect the scope of the installation. Ticketing, access control, cashless spending and staff accreditation are distinct systems, even when offered together. An organizer replacing only online ticket sales has a different task from a festival replacing its on-site operation. Accepting card payments and operating a cashless wristband system are different requirements.

### What Weezevent already covers

Weezevent offers ticketing, access control, cashless payment and staff-related event solutions. Its access product is integrated with the ticketing and cashless products.

### How prepaid visits work

- **Eligibility:** The business selects one Experience or a pool. The balance is shared across those eligible Experiences.
- **Reservation:** The customer chooses a session and redeems credit during checkout. The reservation consumes actual capacity.
- **Terms:** The business can define expiry and the ticket tier used for redemption.
- **Changes:** Existing buyers retain their purchased terms. Stopping new sales does not remove their remaining credit.
- **Sales:** Bundles can be sold online or through Gomry POS. Credits apply to Experiences rather than one-off Events.

Bundle credit applies to Experiences, not one-off Events. An Event ticket and a pack of future visits therefore remain separate purchases.

## Other alternatives on the shortlist

### Eventbrite

Eventbrite combines event ticket sales with public discovery, promotion and organizer check-in tools. It also supports recurring event schedules. A move therefore has two parts: retaining the event’s purchase and admission workflow, and deciding how attendees will find it.

### Ticket Tailor

Ticket Tailor supports recurring occurrences, seating, bundles and memberships, and publishes organizer MCP tools. Its ticketing features make it relevant to both individual events and a recurring program.

### Universe

Universe distinguishes regular events from timed-entry events. Its timed-entry product manages dates and multiple entry times within one listing, for uses such as exhibits, classes and tours. The help center also documents changes to capacity and ticket settings by timeslot.

### TicketLeap

TicketLeap documents timed entry, recurring schedules, seating plans and a cart that can include tickets from several events by the same organizer. Checkout questions and waivers collect information before purchase; its apps support scanning and door sales.

### TicketSource

TicketSource documents a branded ticket shop, a drag-and-drop seating-plan tool and permissions for team members.

### bookingkit

bookingkit describes booking calendars, resource management, channel management and centralized operations for attractions. Its offering also includes webshop, POS and turnstile-related integrations.

## Is accepting cards enough to replace cashless wristbands?

No. Card acceptance and a cashless event system have different credentials, equipment and balances. Weezevent’s cashless and access products widen the replacement scope beyond ticket checkout. Gomry’s ticketing and Experience offer should be assessed for that documented scope, with any cashless installation treated explicitly.

## Moving from Weezevent: costs and existing purchases

Separate online ticket sales, entry credentials, staff access and cashless balances in the transition plan. Existing guest or staff credentials may depend on the installed hardware and connected systems. Price the replacement at that same scope. If only a workshop program moves, keep its bookings separate from the credentials used by the main event.

Published Gomry terms are available on the [pricing page](/pricing).
