Gomry for dance studios

The operating system for dance studios.

Sell class packages and terms up front, and collect the money today. Students book over time, inside the limits you set. Classes, workshops, recitals, and trips all in one place.

New: class packages

Sell ten classes today. They book them over the next three months.

The single fastest way to turn a drop-in dancer into a regular.

Packages let you sell a block of classes as one product. A ten-class card, a half term, a full term. The student pays the whole amount at checkout, and the money reaches you immediately rather than one class at a time.

Then they book. One class this Tuesday, two next week, three the week the choreography finally clicks. Gomry tracks the balance, holds the spot, and tells them how many they have left.

You set the limits. How many classes the package holds. How long it stays valid. Which classes it covers. How many a student can take in a week. Gomry enforces every rule at booking, so you never argue about an expired pack at the door again.

Cash up front

Ten classes bought in January is ten classes of revenue in January. Your cash flow stops depending on who shows up on a rainy Tuesday.

Students actually come back

A package is a commitment. Someone who bought ten classes finds a reason to use class four. Drop-in dancers do not.

No spreadsheet

Balances, expiries, and caps live in the product. Not in a notebook behind the desk, not in the head of whoever runs reception.

Every discipline

One studio, a dozen timetables, one platform.

Most dance studios teach more than one thing. Gomry runs all of it on the same primitives.

Ballet and pre-pointe

Graded syllabus, exam entries, and per-level waitlists. Auto-suggest students ready to move up a grade.

Contemporary and jazz

Open levels, drop-ins, and class cards side by side. Guest choreographer intensives go live in minutes.

Hip hop and street

Crews, battles, and workshop weekends. Sell to a young audience that pays on a phone or not at all.

Kids programmes and recitals

Termly enrolment, sibling discounts, costume fees, and recital tickets sold to families from one account.

Adult beginners

The nervous first-timer who wants one class before committing. Give them a trial, then a package.

Competition and performance teams

Team fees, travel, rooming, and entry deadlines. Deposits and balances handled as a proper product.

A niche we go deep on

Running a salsa, bachata, or tango studio?

Latin social dance runs differently. Weekly socials and milongas, levels that feed a dance floor rather than a stage, guest teachers flying in, and congress trips six months out. We built a separate page for exactly that.

The difference that matters

Every other platform charges you rent. We don't.

We make money when you make money. That is the whole model.

Dance studio software almost always starts with a monthly subscription. You pay it in January when the room is full. You pay it again in August when half your students are at a festival and the other half are on holiday. The bill does not care.

Gomry charges no monthly fee, no setup fee, and no per-student pricing. We take a transaction fee when you get paid. Sell nothing this month and you owe us nothing.

Gomry Typical studio software
Monthly subscription $0 Billed every month, sold or not
Setup or onboarding fee $0 Common
Price rises as you add students No Usually, by tier
Cost of a quiet month $0 The full subscription
Free classes and free events Always free Counted against your plan
How we earn A fee on paid transactions Your subscription

Service fees are 2.49% + $0.79 per paid ticket during your free Pro month, then 3.99% + $0.79 plus payment processing. Free events stay free, always.

The situation today

Running a dance studio on eight tools that don't talk to each other.

Dance studios are community first, software last. Most use a ticketing tool for the recital, a website builder for class registration, WhatsApp for the parent group, a peer-to-peer payments app for the competition trip, and a spreadsheet to track who has paid for what.

The result is beautifully messy, but it means the studio owner is up until midnight reconciling ticket sales and chasing costume payments.

There's no single place where a class package, a recital ticket, a trip deposit, and a private lesson all live, so the money leaks out through every seam.

What Gomry replaces

From eight tools to just Gomry.

Before
  • A monthly subscription to studio software
  • A general-purpose ticketing tool for recitals + showcases
  • A website builder for class registration
  • Paper punch cards for class packs
  • Peer-to-peer payments for trip and costume money
  • Google Forms for private lesson bookings
  • A parent WhatsApp group nobody can search
  • Spreadsheets for who's paid what
  • Manual teacher payout calc
After

Just Gomry.

One product. One checkout. One reconciled report at the end of every week.

Built for dance studios

The features that actually matter.

Class packages with your rules

Sell blocks of classes in advance, collect the money now. Set the class count, the expiry, the weekly cap, and which classes it covers. Gomry enforces all of it.

One membership that spans everything

Classes, workshops, open studio, and private lessons, all inside one member plan, or à la carte. The customer stops thinking about it.

Level-based class progressions

Beginner → intermediate → advanced. Auto-suggest students to level up. Manage waitlists per level.

Recitals and showcases

Ticketed performances with reserved or general seating. Families buy seats from the same account they book classes with.

Workshops and intensives

One-off workshops with guest teachers, summer intensives, and holiday camps. Same booking flow, same reporting.

Trips and competition travel

Deposit → balance → roommate assignment → dietary → transfer coordination. The six-month trip you've been running on a shared doc becomes a proper product.

Parent and student comms

WhatsApp broadcast to exactly the right group. Everyone in Grade 3 with classes left on their package, for instance. Track replies and no-shows.

Private lessons + package sales

10-pack of privates with expiration. Discovery lessons as an upsell. Instructor commissions automated.

Payment plans and Tap to Pay

Split a term, a costume fee, or a trip into instalments. Take card payments on your phone at the front desk, no terminal needed.

FAQ

Questions we hear from dance studios.

How do class packages work?
You sell a block of classes as one product, for example a ten-class card or a full term. The student pays the full amount at checkout and the money reaches you straight away. They then book individual classes over time from their package balance.
Can I control how students use a package?
Yes. You decide how many classes the package holds, how long it stays valid, which classes it covers, and how many classes a student can take per week. Gomry enforces the rules at booking, so nobody argues about it at the door.
Do you charge a monthly subscription?
No. Most dance studio software bills a monthly SaaS fee whether you sell anything or not. Gomry charges no monthly fee, no setup fee, and no per-student pricing. We take a transaction fee when you get paid, so we only earn when you earn.
Which dance disciplines does Gomry support?
All of them. Studios run ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, hip hop and street, musical theatre, ballroom, and Latin social dance on Gomry. If you teach salsa, bachata, or tango, we have a dedicated page at Gomry for Latin dance studios.
Can I sell recital and showcase tickets?
Yes. Recitals are ticketed events with reserved or general seating, and families buy from the same account they book classes with.
Can parents pay for a term in instalments?
Yes, native payment plans. Split a term, a costume fee, or a competition trip across instalments and Gomry collects each one.
How do teacher payouts work?
Fixed or commission-based, calculated automatically per class or private lesson.
Can I run this in Spanish, Portuguese, or Italian?
Yes. Full localization and local payment methods (SEPA, iDEAL, Bizum, and more).
Do you have a mobile app for students?
Yes, a branded booking + community app. Students see their package balance and book from their phone.
