Attraction software needs to connect what the visitor buys with what the venue admits and delivers. General entry, a scheduled workshop and a membership can all lead to the same building while granting different rights. Gomry fits attractions with bookable activities and prepaid return visits alongside separately ticketed public events.
ROLLER and bookingkit deserve consideration when the venue needs a broader system spanning sales and on-site operations. SimpleTix is relevant to ticketing with payment and POS connections; Universe and TicketSpice address timed-entry purchases. Checkfront and other activity platforms enter the shortlist when resources or guided sessions constrain availability.
Compare the options
| Software | Main reason to consider it | Important distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Gomry | Participatory activities, packs and separate public events | Activity credit is not automatically general entry or a recurring membership. |
| ROLLER | Online and in-venue sales with memberships and venue tools | Compare required plan features and installed access hardware. |
| bookingkit | Attraction bookings, channels and central operations | Confirm the specific POS and turnstile integrations. |
| SimpleTix | Tickets, mobile scanning and on-site payment connections | Offline scanning and sales setup need the actual device configuration. |
| Universe | Dates and entry times within timed-entry events | Plan and event type affect available settings. |
| TicketSpice | Timed entry, seating and configurable checkout | A completed form must correspond to the correct admission right. |
| Checkfront | Resource-based activities and rentals | Allocate specific items when capacity alone is insufficient. |
| Peek Pro | Activities, attractions and rental operations | Participant places and rented equipment have different obligations. |
| FareHarbor | Scheduled activities and departure operations | Evaluate the guest process beyond the online reservation. |
| Regiondo | Activity bookings across sales channels | Channel bookings must reach the correct venue operation. |
| Rezgo | Guest records, resources and operational preparation | Waivers and manifests support delivery after payment. |
| Weezevent | Admission, cashless spending and staff systems | Cashless wallets are distinct from card acceptance at checkout. |
Describe each visitor entitlement
General admission may permit entry during a period. A timed ticket specifies an arrival slot. A workshop booking reserves a place in an activity. A membership may grant repeat access under its terms. A visitor holding one of these should not need to discover at the gate that another purchase was required.
List which offers include general entry and which require a separate activity reservation. Then show that distinction on the purchase confirmation and the staff record. A venue may deliberately sell both entry and activity places, but the combination needs to be understandable before the customer arrives.
Capacity at the gate and inside the activity
A building may have available admission while a workshop is full. Conversely, a workshop place does not necessarily grant unrestricted venue access. Decide which capacities are linked and which are separate. The booking setup should follow that decision, not hide it behind one large availability number.
For installed gates, kiosks or turnstiles, request the exact supported hardware and integration. A mobile ticket scanner is not equivalent to every access-control installation. Membership entry also requires the correct live entitlement, not just a QR code that can be read.
Gomry for activities and return visits
Gomry can schedule participatory activities through Experiences, with capacity and hosts. A Bundle can cover selected activities. Customers buy credit and later choose eligible available dates; the booking reserves a place. A special public Event can remain separately ticketed.
For an attraction with a regular workshop program, this separates a pack of future participation from admission to a particular event. Contacts retains purchase and attendance history across the customer’s visits. The venue can define pack expiry and eligibility, and preserve purchased terms when stopping new sales.
This does not establish an annual attraction membership, general-entry entitlement or a turnstile integration. Gomry’s Memberships page currently says “Coming soon.” Select additional supported venue capabilities if those requirements drive the operation.
Build a shortlist around the front desk
A venue selling admission, food, merchandise and memberships: include ROLLER. Its online and in-venue sales scope makes it relevant to the broader attraction operation. Confirm the required configuration and plan.
An attraction coordinating sales channels and entrance systems: include bookingkit and the relevant channel-connected alternatives. The test is whether each booking reaches the correct operational record and entry process.
Timed-entry visits with straightforward on-site sales: compare SimpleTix, Universe and TicketSpice. Demonstrate a booking change, late arrival and scan with the venue’s real devices and policies.
Scheduled activities and repeat local participation: include Gomry. If the activities share equipment or rentals, also include Checkfront or Peek Pro and evaluate resource allocation explicitly.
Price the entire visitor operation
Use the venue’s actual mix of online sales, walk-ins, memberships and activities. Include payment processing, required hardware, kiosks, access integrations and on-site support where applicable. A per-ticket figure does not describe the whole system if retail, food sales or gate installation also depend on it.
Optional modules should be visible in the quote. Compare the same ticket and visitor volumes, and distinguish recurring software cost from one-time installation or migration. Do not assume that the cheapest online checkout is the least expensive venue operation.
Moving existing tickets and passes
A switch needs to preserve issued tickets, future timeslots, unused visits and active memberships according to their terms. Establish where staff will validate each purchase during transition. A visitor should not be turned away because their ticket was issued by the old system.
For reseller bookings, preserve the source reference and payment state. For memberships, preserve validity and applicable benefits. For workshop packs, preserve remaining credit and eligible activities. These are separate obligations even if all purchasers share one customer database.
Attraction software questions
Does a workshop booking include venue admission?
Only if the offer explicitly says so and the operational setup supports it. In the Gomry model described here, activity credit and separate Event admission should not be assumed to be interchangeable.
Can one product support online and in-venue sales?
Several candidates document both. The relevant comparison is the exact payment, ticket and staff configuration, including how a purchase appears at the entrance. Confirm the venue’s existing equipment rather than relying on a provider logo.
Should memberships and packs be compared together?
They can both support repeat visits, but their rules differ. A finite activity balance and an ongoing access entitlement need separate demonstrations and prices.
What each alternative provides
ROLLER
ROLLER combines online ticket sales with in-venue POS and membership capabilities. Its venue scope includes sales beyond admission, such as food, merchandise and parties; required access integrations and plan features should be specified in the proposal.
bookingkit
bookingkit describes booking calendars, resource management, channel management and centralized operations for attractions. Its offering also includes webshop, POS and turnstile-related integrations.
SimpleTix
SimpleTix documents online ticketing, mobile ticket validation including offline scanning, and in-person sales with Square or Stripe. It also lists other payment-provider integrations.
Universe
Universe distinguishes regular events from timed-entry events. Its timed-entry product manages dates and multiple entry times within one listing, for uses such as exhibits, classes and tours. The help center also documents changes to capacity and ticket settings by timeslot.
TicketSpice
TicketSpice documents customizable ticket pages, seating layouts, timed-entry sales, conditional questions and digital waivers. It is relevant when the purchase needs to collect different information or offer different options depending on the ticket. For an attraction, selecting a time is only part of the workflow; the resulting ticket, participant details and entrance validation must agree about what was purchased.
Checkfront
Checkfront emphasizes resource management for items such as vehicles, equipment and rooms, alongside bookings, waivers and widgets. It serves tours, activities and rentals.
Peek Pro
Peek Pro serves tours, rentals and attractions and documents tools such as digital waivers and a customer portal. Its rental offering includes operational concerns beyond admission to a session. A rental can require an item to be allocated, returned and checked, whereas a class needs a participant place.
FareHarbor
FareHarbor serves tours and activities with booking, inventory and staff tools, including affiliate and API partners.
Regiondo
Regiondo documents tour and activity bookings, connections to OTAs, payments and booking reports. Its listed payment methods include cards, cash and PayPal.
Rezgo
Rezgo documents inventory and resources, waivers, automated communications and reseller distribution. It also describes manifests and ticketing for different types of operator. These functions serve the delivery of the activity after payment: the team needs to know who is attending, what they purchased and whether required participant information is complete.
Weezevent
Weezevent offers ticketing, access control, cashless payment and staff-related event solutions. Its access product is integrated with the ticketing and cashless products.
Choosing your shortlist
For a full attraction operation, begin with venue-focused products such as ROLLER and bookingkit. For scheduled activities and prepaid return visits, include Gomry. Make the final choice around a visitor’s real purchase, the entrance team’s validation and the activity the venue has promised to deliver.
