Cold Plunge Booking Software: Capacity and Turnaround

Cold plunge studios sell timed slots with a hard headcount. What the booking software needs, what breaks on class software, and how Gomry runs it.

A plunge round needs a participant limit and time for the team to prepare for the next group. If the calendar records only the customer session, the next booking can consume the turnaround time.

Use the actual tub layout and operating schedule when evaluating booking software. Set capacity and preparation requirements with the people responsible for the facility.

The constraints

  • Tubs, not classes. Capacity belongs to the tub. A guided contrast session might use two tubs and one sauna at once.
  • Short slots, all day. Twenty or thirty minutes, from 6am to 10pm. Calculate bookable rounds after including turnaround time.
  • Change-over. Water gets checked, the deck gets wiped. Five to ten minutes when nobody can book.
  • First-timers. The participant information and instructions required by your qualified team.
  • Repeat buyers. Compare your own sales of single sessions, packs and recurring plans.

Test shared resources

A class capacity describes places in that class. Check separately whether another booking can consume the same tub or room. Test turnaround time, pass eligibility and released places; products handle these details differently.

What to test before you buy

Book two adjacent slots and check the gap is enforced. Cancel a spot and watch whether the waitlist offers it. Sell one pack and use it on two different session types. Sign a waiver on a phone and find the record at the desk. Check in with the wifi off.

Represent the schedule in Gomry

Gomry Experiences provide a schedule and capacity per slot. Configure the time available to customers and preserve the required turnaround in the timetable. Check the next bookable start time, not just the duration displayed on the listing.

A capacity on one Experience does not demonstrate protection for a tub shared with another product. Test overlapping plunge, sauna and guided-session bookings where they use the same resources.

Bundles provide prepaid credits across selected Experiences with optional expiry. They do not establish weekly caps or different credit consumption for every format. Test the package you intend to sell.

The sauna booking guide covers private and shared capacity. For participant information, use the requirements set by your qualified team and verify how the front desk accesses the relevant record.

Tap to Pay is in private beta. Confirm access before relying on it for payments at reception.

Questions plunge studios ask

Can one membership cover plunge and sauna? A bundle can cover selected Experiences. Test redemption and cancellation; recurring billing alone does not establish access benefits.

Why do buffers matter so much here? Because the sessions are short. A five-minute change-over on a 20-minute slot is a quarter of the schedule. If it is not in the calendar it comes out of the session.

Can members bring a guest? Demonstrate a member-and-guest booking, then inspect combined capacity and the charge applied to each.

Book adjacent rounds and a session sharing the same tub. Check turnaround and capacity in the resulting schedule before opening it to customers.
