Gomry fits music venues that also run regular workshops or other participatory activities. It lets the venue sell concert tickets separately from prepaid visits to selected sessions, while retaining customer purchase and attendance history. This is the reason to include it in a DICE comparison.
A venue could offer a pack for recurring creative sessions and keep each live performance individually ticketed. Pack holders choose available session dates when they redeem credit. Concert admission, ticket transfers and waiting-list rules remain part of the live-event operation. DICE also provides a discovery route for fans; the workshop purchase model does not replace that audience or establish equivalent fan-ticketing rules.
AXS spans fan ticket management, marketing and venue operations. Ticketmaster’s Event Day tools address event creation, box-office work and entrance monitoring.
Which alternative fits your business?
| Your main requirement | Start with |
|---|---|
| A venue selling public events and a recurring participatory program | Gomry |
| Fan ticket management, analytics, marketing and venue operations need to be considered together | AXS |
| Event creation, box-office operations and entrance monitoring are central to the replacement | Ticketmaster |
Compare the fan journey and the organizer’s control of the event
A fan needs a clear route from buying a ticket to using it at the venue, including the options available when plans change. Waiting lists can affect that experience, but DICE’s published terms make their availability event-dependent. Joining a waiting list does not provide a universal refund guarantee. Organizer commercial arrangements also need to be established for the relevant event and market.
What DICE already covers
DICE’s UK and Ireland organizer terms describe ticket sales and an event-dependent waiting-list service.

How prepaid visits work
- Eligibility: The business selects one Experience or a pool. The balance is shared across those eligible Experiences.
- Reservation: The customer chooses a session and redeems credit during checkout. The reservation consumes actual capacity.
- Terms: The business can define expiry and the ticket tier used for redemption.
- Changes: Existing buyers retain their purchased terms. Stopping new sales does not remove their remaining credit.
- Sales: Bundles can be sold online or through Gomry POS. Credits apply to Experiences rather than one-off Events.
Bundle credit applies to Experiences, not one-off Events. An Event ticket and a pack of future visits therefore remain separate purchases.
Other alternatives on the shortlist
Eventbrite
Eventbrite combines event ticket sales with public discovery, promotion and organizer check-in tools. It also supports recurring event schedules. A move therefore has two parts: retaining the event’s purchase and admission workflow, and deciding how attendees will find it.
Ticket Tailor
Ticket Tailor supports recurring occurrences, seating, bundles and memberships, and publishes organizer MCP tools. Its ticketing features make it relevant to both individual events and a recurring program.
Humanitix
Humanitix combines ticketing with reserved seating, waiting lists, checkout questions and scanning. It directs profits to charity.
Weezevent
Weezevent offers ticketing, access control, cashless payment and staff-related event solutions. Its access product is integrated with the ticketing and cashless products.
TicketLeap
TicketLeap documents timed entry, recurring schedules, seating plans and a cart that can include tickets from several events by the same organizer. Checkout questions and waivers collect information before purchase; its apps support scanning and door sales.
Fienta
Fienta documents event ticketing, a website event schedule and integrations, including a REST API with organizer keys and webhooks for orders, registrations and ticket validation. These interfaces matter when event data needs to reach another system. Distinguish an incoming notification about a completed order from an external application being able to perform a purchase or change a booking: those are separate integration capabilities.
Does an unused DICE ticket always qualify for a waiting-list refund?
The documented waiting-list service is event-dependent; it is not a universal guarantee that an unused ticket will be sold or refunded. The applicable event and market rules matter. A venue comparing systems should preserve the actual fan-ticketing arrangement rather than substitute a general promise about refunds.
Moving from DICE: costs and existing purchases
Retain the rules attached to tickets already sold, including any available waiting-list arrangement. The documented DICE terms do not establish a universal refund entitlement. Compare the venue’s applicable commercial offer rather than an assumed standard rate, and include the cost of replacing any required fan-ticketing or admission process.
