Gomry vs Mindbody: Studio Booking, AI Tools and Distribution

Gomry supports studio classes, prepaid visits, public workshops and external assistants. Compare its operating model with Mindbody's studio tools.

Gomry brings recurring classes, prepaid visits and public workshops into its Experiences, Bundles and Events products. An independent studio can also connect compatible AI assistants to organizer operations and use Gomry's event-commerce interfaces in consumer applications. Mindbody combines studio management with marketplace discovery and customer-service automation.

Why Gomry suits a studio with a public workshop business

  • Classes and workshops have distinct products. Experiences handle the recurring timetable; Events handle public admission.
  • Customers can prepay for selected classes. Bundles provide credit across eligible Experiences.
  • External assistants can work with the business. Model Context Protocol (MCP) supports documented event, attendee, contact and reporting tasks, while consumer integrations can use event discovery and commerce.

Feature comparison for an independent studio

Compare one working studio week. Classes, one-to-one services, a visiting teacher's workshop and a recurring payment can share customers while requiring different booking rules.

How Mindbody compares

Mindbody includes booking, reporting, staff management and branded-app options. Messenger[ai] handles customer questions and booking requests. Gomry's Aven is an organizer assistant in the dashboard and app; MCP lets organizers use compatible external assistants. The distinction is who interacts with the assistant and which account operations it can perform.

Different kinds of AI solve different studio problems

Gomry's external-agent interfaces address another need. Organizer MCP lets a compatible assistant work with supported account operations. A studio manager can evaluate retrieving workshop attendees, reviewing sales or making an event change from the assistant they already use. Consumer integrations can work from Gomry's event catalog and continue into commerce for supported listings.

This distinction matters when choosing what to automate first. Reducing unanswered messages and exposing a purchasable event to a consumer application are separate projects. Each needs a clear result: a resolved customer request, an accurate administrative change or a completed order.

The purchase can use an enabled checkout integration or a link that opens Gomry checkout with the ticket type already selected. Direct checkout access is configured for the connected application.

A studio offer mapped into Gomry

Consider a yoga studio selling drop-in classes, a five-visit pack and a weekend training event. The timetable can use Experiences. The pack can be a Bundle attached to eligible Experiences, with expiry set according to the offer. The training event can have its own ticket classes and admission records.

The customer should be able to understand which purchase applies to which activity. A Bundle credit for a regular class does not automatically pay for a weekend event. A recurring subscription collects payments, but that fact alone does not establish a particular membership freeze, booking priority or unlimited-access rule. Gomry Memberships remains in private beta.

For a studio whose main product is an established membership with complex access rules, demonstrate those rules before moving active members. For a business growing its public workshop program and prepaid visits, the combination of Experiences, Events and external-agent access is the stronger reason to consider Gomry.

Compare operating cost across a full month

List the services the studio actually pays for: scheduling, payments, marketing, branded customer access and any additional communication product. Then add transaction fees at the same sales volume. Gomry's published absence of a monthly platform fee does not mean payment processing or optional distribution is free.

Include the time spent reconciling orders and customer balances. A manager reviewing sales should be able to trace a figure to the underlying transactions. If an assistant produces the report, compare its output with the same source records. This is a practical way to evaluate whether external-agent access reduces work for the team.

Acquisition needs its own line. Determine how many customers currently arrive through the Mindbody marketplace and how many already follow the studio. Direct sales, marketplace sales and partner-driven sales have different costs and relationships. Avoid assuming a new booking page will immediately replace a measured acquisition channel.

Membership migration requires more than a contact import

Record renewal dates, remaining credits, expiry dates and the terms accepted by existing members. A migrated contact does not automatically carry an active payment mandate or class entitlement. Keep responsibility for older transactions clear until remaining obligations have been resolved.

A sensible first scope is a new workshop or a clearly defined class offer. Staff can then verify the purchase, attendee record, cancellation and sales report before changing the rest of the studio's timetable. If external assistants motivated the move, include a supported MCP task and an eligible consumer-event journey in that initial scope.

Agent-readiness assessment

Gomry scored 100/100 on Is Agentic and 91/100 on Ora in the assessments of gomry.com recorded on September 17, 2026. Is Agentic is powered by Ora and uses a different scoring model. The assessment details explain the scores and dated platform comparison.

Choose Gomry for classes, workshops and external-agent access

Use a new public workshop to introduce Gomry Events without transferring active studio memberships first. Establish the attendee, payment and staff-assistant workflow there; move regular classes only after their credit and access rules are accounted for.
