Studios evaluating TeamUp alternatives need to preserve the access promised by each purchase. A finite class pack, unlimited membership and private-coaching allowance are not interchangeable. Compare the rules customers use to book, including renewal and eligibility, before moving the timetable.
Gomry supports a studio selling flexible class packs alongside public workshops. It gives customers a balance they can use across selected activities and gives the studio control over what the pack includes.
A pack can cover several regular class types, with each booking using credit and reserving an available place. A visiting instructor’s workshop can be sold separately, so it does not consume or belong to the regular pack. Purchase and attendance records remain associated with the customer. Unlimited memberships, private coaching allowances and renewing plans need additional rules that a finite visit balance does not establish.
Glofox includes recurring member billing and failed-payment handling. Punchpass focuses on class schedules and configurable waiting-list policies.
Which alternative fits your business?
| Your main requirement | Start with |
|---|---|
| A flexible session pack plus separately sold public workshops | Gomry |
| Recurring member billing, CRM and a branded app drive the choice | Glofox |
| The priority is a focused class timetable and the handling of full classes | Punchpass |
Keep private coaching and group attendance understandable
A timetable can contain activities with different purchase rules: member classes, extra sessions, private coaching and workshops. Customers need to understand whether their current plan covers the booking or whether they must buy something else. The software also needs to give staff an intelligible record of that decision. This is a more useful comparison than counting the number of activity types named on a feature page.
What TeamUp already covers
TeamUp describes configurable schedules and membership tiers, including offers such as private coaching, additional sessions and workshops. It also offers migration assistance.

How prepaid visits work
- Eligibility: The business selects one Experience or a pool. The balance is shared across those eligible Experiences.
- Reservation: The customer chooses a session and redeems credit during checkout. The reservation consumes actual capacity.
- Terms: The business can define expiry and the ticket tier used for redemption.
- Changes: Existing buyers retain their purchased terms. Stopping new sales does not remove their remaining credit.
- Sales: Bundles can be sold online or through Gomry POS. Credits apply to Experiences rather than one-off Events.
For recurring class access, Subscriptions combine recurring billing with an unlimited or per-cycle visit allowance. Membership Levels provide an organization-wide member status. These are available alongside prepaid Bundles, so choose the offer around how often customers attend and what their purchase includes.
Ownership, priorities and product development
TeamUp is part of DaySmart, backed by private-equity firms LLR Partners and Parthenon Capital.
Ownership is one part of the decision, not a verdict on product quality. Ask each provider for recent releases relevant to your operation, how customer requests reach the product team and who handles an unresolved support issue. Compare those answers alongside the contract and migration requirements.
Founder-led. Close to your business.
Gomry is founder-led, with the founders involved in product decisions and conversations with customers. Bring the team a specific booking, payment or attendance problem so the discussion starts with the work your business needs to complete.
With Gomry MCP, compatible assistants can perform supported account tasks within your permissions. The separate Catalog API and commerce flow lets developers build discovery and purchase journeys for eligible public Event tickets. Choose the interface for the job: operating your account and helping a consumer buy a ticket are different workflows.
Other alternatives on the shortlist
Mindbody
Mindbody supports class and appointment scheduling, payments, staff management and reporting. Its consumer app adds a discovery route outside the studio’s own website; its business tools serve the team running the operation. The fitness offering also describes marketing automation and an AI Concierge for customer questions and bookings.
Momence
Momence supports classes, courses, workshops and appointments, with capacity settings and booking restrictions. Its automated waitlists address what happens when someone leaves a full session.
Pike13
Pike13 documents classes and appointments, client management, recurring billing, reporting and mobile tools. It also offers client, staff and check-in app experiences.
Bookwhen
Bookwhen supports session and course registration, with passes and memberships on applicable plans. A course can represent enrollment in a sequence, while a pass can support eligible future visits. Its public API is read-only and directs booking through the booking page.
PushPress
PushPress separates its offering into Core for gym operations, Grow for CRM and marketing, and Train for workout-related tools. Its site documents memberships, billing, scheduling, check-ins and digital waivers.
WellnessLiving
WellnessLiving describes client management, staff permissions and payroll, forms, reporting and payment/POS tools alongside scheduling. Its staff app supports booking clients into classes and managing purchases. It is relevant when reception needs to handle several parts of a visit, such as registration information, payment and a booking adjustment.
Can selected classes share one customer balance?
Gomry lets a Bundle cover one Experience or a chosen pool, with a shared balance across that pool. The customer books an available eligible session and redeems credit at checkout. This suits mixed class participation; it does not mean the same balance automatically covers a private appointment or a separate Event ticket.
Moving from TeamUp: costs and existing purchases
Document what each current TeamUp tier includes before transferring customers. A finite pack, an unlimited plan and private coaching allowances cannot all be represented by the same balance. Include the required billing and communication tools in the new setup, then preserve existing terms for purchases already made.
Published Gomry terms are available on the pricing page.
Tap to Pay. Take a contactless payment from a customer paying at the studio. Gomry Tap to Pay lets you accept contactless payments on your phone. Check device and regional availability when comparing your options for in-person payments.
