For a studio choosing a Punchpass alternative, the important question is how a purchased pass becomes a reserved place. Pack eligibility, expiry and waiting-list rules determine what students can book and what happens when a class is full. Compare those rules alongside the timetable.
Gomry lets a studio sell one prepaid balance across selected classes while keeping public events separately ticketed. Customers can choose future dates as they go, and the studio controls eligibility and expiry.
A movement studio can include several class types in one Gomry Bundle. Buying the pack creates credit; booking an eligible session uses that credit and reserves a place. Existing buyers retain the terms they purchased when the studio changes the offer for future buyers. A waitlist answers a different question: who can book a released place? Punchpass documents configurable waiting-list policies. Gomry notifies everyone waiting, then sells the place first come, first served.
Momoyoga supports yoga classes, passes and memberships, including online and hybrid sessions. Bookwhen covers session and course registration, with pass and membership options on applicable plans.
Which alternative fits your business?
| Your main requirement | Start with |
|---|---|
| A prepaid balance spanning selected classes and a separate event program | Gomry |
| A yoga business selling memberships, passes and event tickets, including online or hybrid classes | Momoyoga |
| Enrollment in sessions and fixed courses is the main job | Bookwhen |
Make the rules for the next available place explicit
In a class business, the last available place and the waiting list matter as much as the first booking. Notification and automatic enrollment are different experiences: one invites the customer to respond, while the other may create a booking. A replacement needs to match what the teacher promises about payment, attendance and cancellation. A pass should also clearly identify which future sessions it can cover.
What Punchpass already covers
Punchpass supports a class timetable that can be embedded in the business’s website. Its waitlist documentation describes notifying waiting customers or automatically filling the next place.

How prepaid visits work
- Eligibility: The business selects one Experience or a pool. The balance is shared across those eligible Experiences.
- Reservation: The customer chooses a session and redeems credit during checkout. The reservation consumes actual capacity.
- Terms: The business can define expiry and the ticket tier used for redemption.
- Changes: Existing buyers retain their purchased terms. Stopping new sales does not remove their remaining credit.
- Sales: Bundles can be sold online or through Gomry POS. Credits apply to Experiences rather than one-off Events.
For recurring class access, Subscriptions combine recurring billing with an unlimited or per-cycle visit allowance. Membership Levels provide an organization-wide member status. These are available alongside prepaid Bundles, so choose the offer around how often customers attend and what their purchase includes.

Does buying credit guarantee a place in a full class?
No. With Gomry, credit is applied when a customer books an available eligible Experience. The reservation still consumes capacity. A waiting list addresses how a released place is allocated; it is a different policy from holding unused credit. Punchpass’s documented notification and automatic-fill options are relevant to that policy.
Moving from Punchpass: costs and existing purchases
Reconcile balances by customer, eligibility and expiry. Transferring only the original pass name does not establish how many visits remain. Also preserve future reservations and decide which waitlist process applies at the changeover. Those records determine what customers can actually attend after the new booking page opens.
Published Gomry terms are available on the pricing page.
